The service on Sunday was awesome!! Pastor Furtick preached a very powerful message about "The Dip" we go through our lives. He said something that hit me hard and made me think about how it applied to my own life. He said that sometimes we need to go through a difficult time in our life in order to receive God's purpose for us. WOW!

So many times we think that as a Christian our hard times are because Satan wants to destroy the enemy by way of testing our faith...when in reality it may be God testing our faith to see if we will continue to follow him.

My family is definitely in a "Dip" right now....what I do with it is up to me. Do I believe God has a bigger purpose for me? I might not understand what God is trying to show me but I have to believe he will reveal it in his time...not mine.

I was watching Evan Almighty yesterday and had to laugh because God spoke to me through HOLLYWOOD...who'da thunk. Anyway, as I was watching it there was a scene in the movie where "GOD" was speaking to Evan's wife in the restaurant, and he said "When you pray for patience does God grant you patience or does he give you situations to practice patience? When you pray for courage does God grant you courage or does he give you situations to be courageous?" So my point is no matter the situation or "DIP" God knows what he is doing, but you have to be willing to hear what he is trying to tell you in order to receive his full purpose or blessing in your life!
